DESO Oil Tanks are manufactured in Somerset and we have been dealing with them for many years. They are owned by the PDA group of companies of which Titan Oil Tanks and Atlas Oil Tanks are also a part of, so you have the peace of mind you are buying a good quality oil tank.
DESO Oil Tanks are rotationally moulded out of premium grade, oil resistant MDPE and are suitable for central heating oil storage and kerosene oil storage. Every oil tank comes with the following:
- Lockable lid
- Universal gauge fitting port
- Forklift access point
- 2 year warranty
- 1” BSP bottom outlet as standard (top outlet available on request)
When any existing oil tanks come up for replacement or new tanks are installed they must be installed to the current building regulations for oil tanks.
These look at two specific areas, the first being the Environmental requirements and you may need a bunded oil tank and the other area is fire protection as oil tanks must be positioned at certain distances from buildings and boundaries.
Single skin oil tanks can only be fitted for heating oil if they pass T/133 risk assessment and are for domestic heating oil purposes only. Deso single skin oil tanks should not be fitted with a gravity feed kit for dispensing of diesel unless they are fitted within a bund designed to contain 110% capacity of the oil tank.
Since March 2016 single skin oil tanks should not be fitted in Wales and it is now an offence for an oil company to fill a single skin oil tank fitted after this date.
Deso oil tanks also comply with Oftec OFS T100 and are CE marked with is now a legal requirement for plastic oil tanks sold in the UK.

Installation Requirements
All plastic oil tanks MUST be fully supported across the entire base by either concrete or flags.
Please note that all Bunded Oil Tanks should only be installed by a suitably competent person e.g. an OFTEC Registered Oil Tank Installation Technician in accordance with supplied instructions and statutory requirements.
